The name N-xt Fertilizers means "the next generation" of fertilizers!(Next = next / Fertilizers = fertilizers). You pronounce it as 'next' but the reason for the spelling N-xt can be found in our logo and logotype. This actually contains 3 dashes, which stand for the three major product groups we produce and develop. In the logo, the capital N stands for New, Next,(N)Nitrogen, Nutrients.
Meanwhile, N-xt Fertilizers is the main trademark of Healthy Soil b.v. (the actual name of the company)
Since the year 2000 we have been on the market with this technology of complex compounding. Started under the name Flex Fertilizer and from the Netherlands (franchisee at the time) a lot of development took place in the field of formulations, applications and results, especially abroad. In order to continue the cooperation with foreign partners and to be able to develop from our own insights, it was decided to continue independently (as franchisor) in 2010 under the name N-xt Fertilizers (same production unit, location, same team and with the latest insights and developments). The N-xt fertilizers undergo a completely different procedure than traditional liquid fertilizers. Almost all other liquid fertilizers in the Western European market are blending processes; here existing products are blended into a "new" product. Often the properties are not changed (same high salt index).
N-xt technology also uses existing raw materials/fertilizers but through the complexing technique a final product is created with a completely different property. For example, you cannot measure EC in an N-xt fertilizer, as it has become an "organic complex" compound. This makes the N-xt fertilizer so unique and it has a much more favorable and positive effect on many soil processes compared to conventional (liquid) fertilizers.
The fertilizers of N-xt Fertilizers consist of complex urea compounds with the property that the minerals, in this compound, are protected from the influences in a soil. Finally, the aim is to keep the nitrogen available as ammonium for as long as possible and prevent the phosphate from being fixed in the soil. This protection works better and longer when the fertilizer is concentrated in the soil. When spraying (with a slit cap e.g.) this is not the case and the contact area will be many times larger where soil biology and processes in the soil break down the fertilizer faster, eliminating the complex compound.
In general, we can say that when the pH in the soil is higher, the "natural protection" is broken down faster and therefore the concentration becomes more and more important.

We now have 25 years of experience in the application technique of liquid fertilizers. Although it is often said that fertilizers in general are agresseif for machines, there is a difference between a so-called "salt effect", obv EC value and an organic "acid effect" obv pH value.
With the N-xt Soil Fertilizers we always have to deal with a pH effect and therefore we recommend working with plastic (tank, pipes etc) and stainless steel (couplings, taps etc) as much as possible. Pumps can also be a sensitive part of administration. Pacer plastic centrifugal pumps work best.

Adding extra water is not recommended! Of course water can always be added, in fact nothing happens to the formulation. However, what does change is that the whole (the total mix) is diluted and that does affect the properties once it gets on the leaf or on the ground, namely:
General rule: Always choose a nozzle size that fits the dosage per ha! After all, the pressure may not exceed 2.4 bar, so this is more or less fixed, just as maximum driving speed is a given.
TIP: if you often have to spray different doses per ha, choose 2 types of nozzles that are adapted to this; e.g. 250 ltr/ha and 100 ltr/ha (whereby you can spray at the same pressure and speed). If this is really not possible in the end, top up the total tank mix with a little extra water, but be aware of the points of attention described above.
The nozzles we recommend are a 6-hole or 7-hole nozzle. These come in various brands, the best known ones we have a lot of experience with are the Albuz 6-hole nozzle or the Teejet 7-hole nozzle. These give a nice spray pattern of jets and good distribution. We want a concentration of fertilizer (in a stream) but also a good distribution. Thus we create a long lasting effect of the fertilizer and avoid damage to the crop (from direct contact), the fertilizer will be much easier to reach the soil through the jet.

The best time to spray is after each cut, right after mowing. So when the grass has been removed from the field. After this the slurry can be applied after 1 or 2 days. If you spread the slurry first (which is no problem), we recommend waiting 5-7 days before applying the liquid N-xt fertilizer.
The reason; with a drag hose or sod injector we still damage the grass unnoticed, with both the machines and tire tracks. In general, the grass plant does not like the contact with fertilizer very much when it comes directly on such a fresh damage. It does not kill it, nor does it cause immediate yield loss, but to avoid this it is best to spray first and then apply slurry.
It is important to know how much potash is applied with the total amount of slurry per year. This first determines whether it is necessary for the crop to supplement it. We always advise; analyze your manure (preferably extensively, so that the trace elements are also known). With current legislation, the potash supply is getting tighter. Make a good soil analysis (HS-Albrecht Soil Analysis) so that there is insight into the status of potash in your soil.
After this, you will have a good understanding of how much potash your soil still needs to reach a good balance. The problem on many livestock farms is that the potassium level is generally too low, but too much is applied via manure at the wrong time. As a result, you may have enough for the crop that year, but there is no replenishment for the soil.
A good potash source is always tied to carbon, so solid manure and good compost are best for the soil. If you need a supplement in season for the crop; always use a sulfate form (Kali-50).
Definitely! We have done experience and research on the effect of the N-xt foliar fertilizer in grassland and it turns out that we can do with much less nitrogen per cut with the same yield and even better protein levels. However, the practical "problem" is the need to spray 2-3 times per cut. This is often a threshold in practice. In 2025 we restarted practical research because legislation is forcing us towards ever tighter nitrogen fertilization standards. So there are solutions, feel free to ask us about the details.
In general we use a period of 5 to 7 days. Of course, this also depends on the circumstances; if it rains immediately after spraying, grazing can be resumed after 2-3 days, but if it is dry and sunny, wait a few extra days.
For potato cultivation, there are actually 4 techniques;

N-xt Foliar Fertilizer is a very gentle formulation that will cause virtually no burning. It can be mixed with various fungicides (be careful with oleaginous agents!). It is best to spray the foliar fertilizer with as little water as possible (150-200 ltr) with a fine nozzle. This ensures a good distribution on the leaf and also keeps everything nicely on the leaf.
Do not spray with too much pressure (max 2.5 bar) and air support, good coverage is important. Absorption takes place within 4-5 hours after spraying. At crucial moments it is sometimes better to spray a pesticide you want to penetrate separately from a foliar feed!

Corn can have a very difficult time really growing through in the early stages of growth. Often this has to do with conditions, weather (stress) and nutrient availability. After all, a full root system has not yet developed. Spraying an N-xt foliar fertilizer (e.g. the N-xt N18 Ca Mg Mn) can be very helpful to support the corn plant in its growth and give it the energy and nutrients to grow through this period.
You can also spray with another N-xt Foliar Fertilizer at a later stage, 5-6 leaf, to give a boost of absorbable nitrogen and trace elements. You can do this while you can still drive a machine decently through the corn.
Yes you can, but you need the right row dosing technique to do this efficiently. You cannot, like the N-xt FertiPhos that brings phosphate into the soil, also add a high dose of nitrogen. This will have to be done after the seed. In the past, some contractors achieved good results with this, spraying an NP formulation with trace elements next to the seed. Nowadays we see contractors opting for the technique and the great effect of the N-xt FertiPhos.

For the application of N-xt Soil Fertilizers in field vegetables, actually the same techniques are important as those used in potato and onion cultivation;
In beet cultivation, just like other fine-seeded crops, a knife coulter can be dosed next to the seeding element. This can be done in the same pass (with a metering unit in the front linkage - see photo).
In winter cereals, the first nitrogen fertilization is often given as early as February. The soil temperature is often not high enough for nitrogen uptake. However, the N-xt fertilizer has the great advantage that due to the organic complex compound it is not subject to leaching and/or volatilization. It can therefore be sprayed very early (if the soil allows it), so that the crop can actively absorb nutrients at all times.
Always spray the N-xt Soil Fertilizer with a 6- or 7-hole nozzle to obtain the right concentration of fertilizer and also a good distribution. This will ensure a long lasting effect without the fertilizer volatilizing and damaging your crop.
