History

During the 1990s, a new production method and new application methods for fertiliser were developed. The basic idea was that targeted fertilising is more important, and a liquid fertiliser was proven to be the most efficient application method. In 1991, the Danish company Landmark International built the world's first production unit.

The company used a franchise system to roll out the concept, and franchisees were given the new technologies and knowhow. The Dutch franchisee led the continued development of the technology, and developed and marketed new products. In 2010, the organisation left the franchise formula and continued independently as N-xt Fertilizers.
